Our History
Abingdon Church of the Nazarene was established with a heart to bring the message of Christ to the Abingdon community. Through the years, it has grown into a place of worship, family, and outreach, continuing its mission to serve and impact lives for the Kingdom.
Who We Are
We are a worship-centered church passionate about helping people grow in faith, strengthen their families, and connect with a welcoming community. Our heart is to create a place where people can experience God’s presence, build meaningful relationships, and live out their faith in everyday life.
What We Believe
We are part of the Church of the Nazarene, a global Christian denomination rooted in the Bible and centered on the message of Jesus Christ. Our beliefs are grounded in Scripture and reflect a commitment to living a holy, Christ-centered life.

Kimberly Mann-Taylor, as Worship Leader, does an amazing job praying for just the right songs for each service and for a prayer time at the closing of Worship. Her family and the Pastor joins her for leading the congregation, lifting Christ in song. This part of worship encompasses a feeling of praise and thanksgiving as well as a time to open hearts and grow closer to the Lord."
"Another area of the church ministry is through Rev. Joseph Taylor. His ministry is so versatile where he handles all of the online church needs as well as preaching the Gospel. Joey is a testimony in rising above the difficulties that can come with a disability. He takes the “dis” off and shows that through Christ there is no disability, only ability for he truly believes that “All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13."
